Top Priorities

  • Smart, Responsible Growth

Fife’s location makes it a natural point of connection between major highways, the Port of Tacoma, and surrounding cities. This means our city will continue to attract new businesses, housing, and infrastructure needs. Managed wisely, growth can bring opportunity and vibrancy; handled poorly, it can strain resources, clog roads, and disrupt the character of our neighborhoods.

This issue is deeply personal to me because I’ve lived in Pierce County nearly my whole life and have seen how thoughtful planning can either strengthen or erode a community. When my husband and I bought our home in Fife, we chose to raise our children here because of its small‑town feel and promise for the future. I want to make sure that as the city expands, it does so in a way that protects what we all love about living here.

With my background as a managing real estate broker and experience working alongside developers, I understand how to balance growth with long‑term planning. On the council, I will review zoning changes carefully, advocate for development that aligns with our comprehensive plan, and work with regional partners to ensure improvements to roads, utilities, and services keep pace with growth—never letting Fife’s progress outpace its heart.

  • Fiscal Responsibility & Transparency

Every decision the city makes impacts our taxpayers, and it is our responsibility to ensure that residents feel confident their money is spent wisely. Fife’s position as a growing city means we often face pressure to fund new projects, but we must balance those needs against fiscal discipline and clear communication.

As someone who has managed budgets in my own business and in real estate transactions, I know firsthand how important it is to make tough choices and remain accountable. I take pride in reviewing details, asking questions, and making sure investments align with both immediate needs and long‑term goals. This approach is how I’ve built trust with clients and community members over the years.

On the council, I will push for greater transparency in how projects are prioritized and funded. I’ll advocate for open budget sessions, regular updates on spending, and clear reporting so residents can see exactly where their dollars go. Through careful evaluation and open communication, we can make sure our resources serve the whole community, not just a few interests.

  • Community Engagement & Representation

No policy or project succeeds without genuine input from the people it affects. I believe Fife is strongest when its residents are active participants in shaping its future—not passive observers. Too often, decisions are made in rooms where everyday voices aren’t heard. That’s why community engagement will be a cornerstone of my service on council. I want people to feel that their concerns, ideas, and experiences are not only welcomed—but valued in decision-making.

While living in Fife and raising my family here, I know how much people care about this city. From schools and parks to public safety and small business, residents have a direct stake in what happens next. I’ve spent years volunteering, listening, and working alongside neighbors to make positive change. On council, I’ll work to expand public outreach efforts, support meaningful town halls, and ensure that policy decisions are rooted in the real-world needs of the people who live here. My goal is to be not just a representative—but a responsive, engaged advocate.

  • Public Safety & Quality of Life

A safe, welcoming city is the foundation for everything else we want to accomplish in Fife. Strong police and fire services, well‑maintained parks, and investments in infrastructure all contribute to making our neighborhoods a place people are proud to call home.

As a parent raising two young boys here, I think about safety and quality of life every day. I want them—and every child and family in Fife—to enjoy clean parks, safe streets, and a sense of community where neighbors look out for each other. This isn’t just policy for me; it’s personal.

On the council, I will support initiatives that strengthen public safety, from ensuring our first responders have the resources they need, to advocating for improvements to sidewalks, lighting, and traffic management. I will also champion projects that enhance our parks, trails, and gathering spaces, because quality of life is built not just on safety, but on places that bring us together and enrich our daily lives.
